I changed it to v9 to properly imitate the version tht used xtraz statuses. 
But it wasn't complete so I backed it down just to be safe. Doing a simple 
version increment could make the server expect different versions of the 
protocol, so it needs some more testing just to be safe.

Delayed. Need to fix some bugs first.

Yes, it is important. If you want to help out with it you will first have to 
get some packet dumps to see how it works. That is always the first part. I 
had some work done, but it wasn't complete yet so I'm not sure how much that 
would help you.
