As for the corruption, I cannot find it either.
Native QT linguist found 4 unfinished messages and 15 obsolete ones...
Not a warning about the file being corrupted.

My mistake, apparently. I deleted po subdir in my machine and
rechecked svn and it's ok now.
The strange thing is that I don't remember renaming es.ts to
es.ts.mine and even stranger is that all other lang files also had the
.mine extension.
Anyway, now it's working. I'm sorry about that.
