Ah, that's a different problem. When Mirabilis upgraded their servers, they didn't upgrade the offline message handling stuff properly. Older clients don't send the right reciept acknowledgement, so the server keeps "trying" to send the message over and over until it times out. Real PITA. That's the main reason I'm using the CVS version of LICQ. ;) If your friend wants to get rid of them, get him to log into ICQ Lite on the ICQ homepage.
