Judging from his questions earlier, I think Jon ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) is working on 
that now. He was talking about doing some packet sniffing on WinICQ->WinICQ 
communication. (For the 2001b client) The LICQ implementation of the new 
protocol currently works through servers, but not for client-to-client. This 
usually isn't a problem, but some wierd third-party clients only speak the 
client-to-client protocol, or do other wierd things that mean they can't talk 
to LICQ's older c-to-c protocol.

That's the impression I gained from listening here. I don't have time to do 
coding for LICQ myself (toooooo many other projects =( ), but I try to keep 
up-to-date on development. And help fill in new volunteers.
