I have had a similar problem, but I don't know if it's the same. I had one undefined symbol after building the kde-gui plugin. It turned out, that the configure script uses the environment variable KDEDIR to determine the location of KDE2. But in KDE2 on most systems it is KDEDIRS (note the "S") that contains the paths to KDE files. KDEDIR stems from KDE 1.x, so my system linked the kde-gui against KDE 1.x files. Hmm. But as I said: I got a different "undefined symbol" error. But who knows! Arne -- The cost of living hasn't affected its popularity.
