Licq still uses the old protocol to talk to other Clients.. only the 
server part uses the new protocol.. so if licq announces itself as 
ICQ2001b .. then it won't be able to send/receive direct connects 
(messages/urls/chat/files etc) from the ICQ200* clients.

It makes sense alright ... once the client to client interaction also 
switches to the new protocol ... licq will announce itself as ICQ200* .. 
and it'll also be time for an official release!!
