This has been a problem for a long time that has yet to be fixed, for reasons I don't really understand. Whenever I see a message doesn't go through right away, I just hit cancel, check send through server, and send again. I don't know why this can't be detected automatically. It generally works fine, aside from those dropped messages.
I don't usually correspond with anyone on ICQ long enough for them to notice. Sadly, because of how much AOL sucks, all of my contacts are dumping ICQ for MSN... :/ Ryan On Wed, 2002-04-24 at 00:13, _]{ILLER_ wrote: > Hi, > I'm having some trouble sending messages with Licq.. > I tried to isolate the problem and got this.. > > There are two guys in my contact that I suffer to send them messages.. > One of them uses icq2000b, > the other icq2001b and now upgraded to 2002.. > > The first one uses icq2000b in his local mascarade network.. his IP in the > machine that is running icq is not a valid one.. > > With the second, the problem started to show up when he put an ADSL router > and the machine he uses icq2002 got an invalid IP too.. > > What happens?! > When I try to send them a message for the first time, I have to wait until > it times out and then send it through server..
