I write a message and send it to a user where I know it'll hang. It says [Sending direct...] for a while, then I press Cancel, and it cancels, leaving me where I was before I pressed Send. What's wrong with that, and what was changed by my patch?
I have libqt2-2.3.1-29mdk (Mandrake's package) on one machine and qt-x11-free-3.0.4 (compiled from tarball) on another.
