This problem depends on the remote side you are trying to connect to. Right
now LICQ uses ICQ protocol v6 for client to client connections. But ICQ for
Windows (from AOL / Mirabilis) is by default configured to reject old clients
with protocol v6. Tell your friends to accept connections from older clients.
Another problem might be firewalls.
