Say I'm a licq user and have some things that just annoy me like when using the chatmode message view there are always two windows for every user I talk to and always the wrong window pops up when a message is received.
I do know some C++, had a look a qt some time ago (about version 1 or so ;) and may have some hours from time to time to spend.
