Good, I'm glad I'm not imagining it then! So... the fix is to say you have SOCKS4, then restart ICQ, then switch back to the correct setting? Weird. The above says that www.icq.com has a link to it, but I can't find it. I complained to icq.com on August 23 about this problem and they sent me an auto-response saying "We are looking in to what you have described and are working on an appropriate response to assist you. The response may take more than the usual response time."
