I'm wondering why some messages are received through the server, so I looked in the log...
13:06:07: [SRV] JMC (123456789) changed status: Online (v8). 13:06:17: [SRV] Message from JMC (123456789). 13:06:18: [TCP] Connection from JMC (123456789) [v8]. These entries were accompanied by the arrival of a message via the server. How come the message came before the connection? I replied through the server to see what would happen. 13:06:30: [SRV] Sending message through server (#30431). Then the next message arrived, also through the server. 13:06:43: [TCP] Connection from JMC (123456789) [v8]. 13:06:43: [WRN] User JMC (123456789) already has an associated socket. 13:06:44: [TCP] Closing connection to 123456789. 13:06:56: [SRV] Message from JMC (123456789). 13:06:56: [TCP] Connection from JMC (123456789) [v8]. This looks very confusing. Why would it open another connection if it already has one? Did Licq close the existing connection or the new one? Why again was there a connection *after* the message arrived? Again I replied via the server. 13:07:28: [SRV] Sending message through server (#30434). This time the reply came direct. 13:07:57: [TCP] Message from JMC (123456789). 13:08:12: [TCP] Message from JMC (123456789). 13:08:20: [TCP] Message from JMC (123456789). I am using licq-20021031; my correspondent is using ICQ 2002a. Can anyone solve this mystery, or is it just one of those things? imc ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by: To learn the basics of securing your web site with SSL, click here to get a FREE TRIAL of a Thawte Server Certificate: http://www.gothawte.com/rd524.html _______________________________________________ Licq-devel mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/licq-devel
