Dear Sir,

I tried to compile licq 1.2.0 from sources. It was installed without any warning.

Operation system RH 7.2, KDE 2.2-11, QT 2.3.1-5.

On startup Licq fails with the following errors:

Strace output attached also.

Can you please tell me what's wrong?

After that I also tried to install rpm for RedHat 7.2-7.3 with qt upper than
2.2.1. However it requires /usr/lib/qt-3.0.3/lib/libqt-mt.so.3 which belongs
to qt 3.0.3. Also it requires kdelibs >= 2.2.2, I installed 2.2.2-3, however on
the installation it required some files which belong to upper versions of the lib.
        libcups.so.2 is needed by licq-1.2.0a-2
        libDCOP-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by licq-1.2.0a-2
        libkdecore-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by licq-1.2.0a-2
        libkdefx-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by licq-1.2.0a-2
        libkdesu-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by licq-1.2.0a-2
        libkdeui-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by licq-1.2.0a-2
        libkio-gcc2.96.so.4 is needed by licq-1.2.0a-2

Actually libkde RPM with upper version is available only for upper RH like 7.3
or 8.0. I'm not going to install them, because I believe that we're able to
solve it using some tricks.

Thank you,
Katherine.
