Hi there,

I'm currently having a problem that isn't directly related to licq but I'm hoping that I mabye with your extensive knowledge of the protocol you might be able to help me.

Recently I was trying out some alternatives to licq, because licq has problems making direct connections since I'm behind a firewall and some other linux clients don't seem to have these same problems.

Basically what has happened is somehow I have deleted my server side contact list ?? how I did this, I'll never know but the problem is, I still have a local copy which works fine for licq but when I switch back to windows to and load up icq, the server contact list overwrites my local contact list so I lose all my contact ? I'm wondering is there a way I can make licq or anyother client upload my local list overwriting the server side list thus restoring all my contacts ?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer,
Mike

PS. If there is anyway I can help you get licq to work better with direct connections behind a firewall just let me know what I need to do, I remeber reading something about using etheral to capture packets being suggested and I have it installe. I just don't know what output you need to see ?
