you had missed the first dot? Also you should get a long messages explaining 
the problem.

it compiles because you have the old Makefiles (make distclean to make it 
really clean)

Anyway, --with-licq-includes doesn't work properly with relatives paths. it 
has code to handle it, but it isn't working. it isn't the fault of the 
"stronger --with-licq-include"  patch, because it didn't work before. (i 
think i tested it at that time, and i just tested now)
