I am not sure whether you can install SOCKS5 support AND SSL support. I know this was a problem in earlier versions of Licq.
I once used SOCKS5 with Licq, but I had to install the NEC Socks libraries and it appears they are no longer available. You do not need SOCKS to establish secure communications. I am running Debian and I installed the following SSL packages: libssl-dev 0.9.7c-1 libssl0.9.6 0.9.6j-1 libssl0.9.7 0.9.7c-1 You should probably install the latest 0.9.7 ssl-dev (headers) and ssl libraries for your distribution. They probably have names similar to the ones in Debian, libssl-dev or ssl-dev or something like that. You won't need SOCKS to use SSL. Is there some reason you need SOCKS? -- Andrew ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
