Protocol plugin support. Merging outstanding patches. Bug fixes. Some other things as well are on my mental list. > It would be great to see a push for a version 2 revamp, and because of > the number of alternative clients now, i'm wondering if using some of > their existing code would be a good move? Well, what features do they have that Licq doesn't? It is usually difficult to take code from one system to another, especially for a single feature or two. So it isn't that good to do. > a) lack of voice call capability (could be implemented through open > h.xxx(i forget the number) I don't have a need for this, so I wouldn't spend time implementing something that I would never use. That doesn't mean it won't be in Licq, that just means I won't be writing the code for it. Anyone can submit patches for it. > b) Contact info is incomplete and somewhat buggy (interface wise > anyway), (does not display hobbies/interests, should allow for a more > flexible contact system with extended info, and be modular for allowing > plugins to add own tabs/pages for each contact) There are patches that implement this I believe. I don't know if it is complete or not at this stage. > c) Modular protocol system ---> I know licq was developed as an ICQ > client, but using existing modular systems, to implement in LICQ would > be a great boon to it's user base. Right now ICQ/AIM work and no protocols can be developed until I finish the architecture. > d) Integration with other clients ssl type auth, I.e miranda's ssl > plugin(gpl). Well the same can be said of other clients, why don't they have Licq's SSL support built into them? I wanted to make Licq <-> Miranda SSL working though, but haven't done so yet. > This is an open call. Well, this is the right list for such an e-mail ;) Jon ______________________________________________________________ Jon Keating ICQ #16325723 [EMAIL PROTECTED] GPG ID: 0x2290A71F emostar on irc.freenode.net -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQE/pOiVld1KayKQpx8RAh9uAKDf33sbVZqAF+UIw2Kg0GWOq7qGWQCglknp fFuo6RIqb1vq9VuOsppsndU= =26tf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
