Hi list, i'm using Licq CVS HEAD with kde-gui (compiled by myself). Since my KDE upgrade to KDE 3.2 (together with qt3-3.3.0) the german umlauts are not displayed correctly in the chat window. (I have recompiled licq from scratch after the upgrade.)
For example when I type the message "message with german umlauts: ÃÃÃÃ" everything is fine. If I hit the send button, the message will appear in the chat window like that: "message with german umlauts: ÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂ" The message in the message history looks the same and it is also the same when I receive a messsage with umlauts. So, I searched the sources and added the line --- text.replace(QRegExp("Ã"), "ä"); --- in plugins/qt-gui/src/mlview3.cpp (line 178) for testing. Now the german umlaut "Ã" is displayed correctly. But this can't be the right solution. Is there something wrong with my encoding? (I tried it with ISO 8859-15 and UTF-8 but nothing changes.) Any suggestions?
