This should usually be a X-Server configuration problem.
Please edit /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 and ensure that the "Module" Section
contains a 
Load            "glx"
line.
(dont know why some applications need this module, but at least this
should fix this.
(you have to restart X-Windows)
