I will not develop and support licq-gpg anymore because I switched to
the Jabber protocol. *In my opinion, everyone who is really interested
in open source and free software can't use the proprietary ICQ protocol.*

That's why I use Jabber. => www.jabber.org
There are many free and open-source servers and at least as many
clients. Jabber is an IETF draft, supports SSL client-server connections
and even has a standard extension for GPG encrypted messages which is
actually supported by many clients:

There are also ICQ gateways for Jabber which enable you to chat with
people who use ICQ.

Is there anyone who wants to host/develop licq-gpg any further? I'll
