i can confirm that too (and i've been having this for quite some time
now, always on SVN), it seems to be on a random basis when i'm sending
messages with umlauts. i get "error encoding to UTF-16 from "
- and no text after the from anymore.

the message is being sent to the other user, but everything gets
truncated after the umlaut.

it happens with many different users on my list, send one message
doesn't work but the next ones do (sometimes). i tried changing the
user encoding but i'm never using UTF-16, that's the weird part.

default encoding in licq: iso 8859-15
