btw, how goes the decryption of the new protocol? I've been having to send
through server for the majority of my contacts. Another oddity is messages
from people with new clients that are entirely blank. I think I recive the
header, but the body is trashed. I could capture the dump if you wish.
Also, when I first connect to an ICQ server, it seems to just hammer the
client with "Got Name Info" type packets. I've not examined the byte
structure of the protocol so I couldn't tell you exactly the packet types.
Perhaps the client needs to reply to the server at that point to stop it
from hammering; or is it the client hammering the server and the server is
simply responding? It all seems an awful waste of bandwidth.
