As someone already mentioned in the list, mirabilis will have newer and newer protocol changes. If we had a libicq, then you probably wouldn't even touch the code, and every icq clone will just recompile and they would work vith v9, v10, etc... In other words you would gain some other coders who would work maybe only on the icq lib, but because of the joint efforts it could a) have more and more features implemented, b) more up-to-date in case of future protocol changes. And why would you make a separate lib of it?
