I'm still not quite sure on what exactly it is you're trying to do, but I'm probably just being slow. Anyway, I'll ramble a bit and maybe you can pick up on where I'm taking a wrong mental turn. Licq has to connect to a mirabilis server and possibly to other ICQ clients. To do this it has to send out packets over the internet. When it sends packets out over the internet the source address of those packets has to be your public ip or things won't work (most likely the packets won't arrive). Now if all your communications run through the mirabilis server it's possible to hide your ip from the people you're communicating with. Mirabilis has a webpage about this feature at: http://www.icq.com/directconnection/ Anything related to where you want to go? Otherwise, could you elaborate some more on why you are trying to get Licq to 'run on IP 192.168.0.1'? Are you trying to use it for internal communications or something? -- Tim van Erven <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ Licq-main mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/licq-main
