I managed to get the developers to insert some much-needed timezone fixes into a much earlier release of Licq (thanks). Possibly I left something out, or another bug crept in. Hopefully I'm not just going mad.
Anyway, in licq 1.0.4 there's this box at the top of the message view and message send windows which supposedly tells you what time it is for the user. This box has the wrong time in it, as described below. We have just entered daylight savings time, so although it is currently 16:50 GMT, the local time is 17:50 BST. Some people have not updated their icq timezone, so ICQ still thinks they are in GMT, but Licq displays 18:50. A user has an ICQ timezone of -8h. In that user's window, Licq displays 10:50.
