I had the same issue, Licq pointed to a wrong location for the sounds. In order to check if this is the same issue, launch licq from the console and when you should have heard a sound check in the console if it complains about the absence of a certain sound file. I tracked where it was on my computer and made a symbolic link to where licq expected it to be. It works now -- Nicolas DEGAND
