Hi there,

since today I'm nor able to connect anymore to icq neither I can login via
web.icq.com/whitepages/login.

There's also no chance to use the mechanism used for people who lost their
password at www.icq.com/password it says my email address was wrong and now
the best at all: if I go to web.icq.com/whitepages my UIN is said to be not
registered at all !

I have no daemon on my machine running which could cause leaks, I have no
ftp,www,sshd or anything similar running.

I have already contacted the ICQ support people, but my question is: are
there any known vulnerabilities with Licq 1.0.4 which might lead e.g. to a
buffer overflow or can 1.0.4 be considered as secure ?

I'm not suspecting Licq, I just want to rule it out as one source of possible
compromise.

Have there already been any known attacks to icq.com ?

Regards,
Malte
