When I downloaded the licq-1.2.0-2mdk.src.rpm and installed the rpm and
went to the /usr/src/RPM/SPECS directory and did a rpm -ba licq.spec, I got a
strange error.
error: failed build dependencies:
gpm-devel is needed by licq-1.2.0-2mdk
I tried to find gpm-devel, but alas they quit making it after Mandrake 7.2,
and the old one (gpm-1.19.3) is incompatible with the new one (1.19.4-2)
that comes with Mandrake 8.1
I compiled the licq-1.2.0a.tar.gz version without any compile errors, but
it wouldnt run because when I tried to install the licq-base-1.2.0a-3.i386.rpm
it said it needed libcrypto.so.2 and libssl.so.2 The .2 version of these
librarys does not come with Mandrake 8.1. Mandrake 8.1 comes with
libcrypto.so and libssl.so . I could not find a source code version of
licq-base and licq_qt-gui, so I cannot compile them myself. Do you know
where I can find the complete source tree so that I can get it working with
my Distribution (Mandrake 8.1). Thanks
