Linda,

if you installed the RPM from licq.org, that should be as simple as
calling 'licq'. If you got the source code, you've got to compile it
yourself. Not much trouble, but you'll need some development packages to
build it.
Check out if it's the binary RPM that you got, and try running 'licq'
(or licq -p qt-gui). Then tell the list what you got.
