That is quite simple. Make sure you have g++, make and cvs installed, so that
you can compile LICQ. Following the instructions at
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=254 you should perform the followiung
steps:

1) cvs -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/licq login
  Press enter when asked for password.
2)  cvs -z3 -d:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/licq co
licq
3) cd licq
4) make -f Makefile.cvs
5) ./configure
6) make && make install
  The latter one has to happen as user root and will install LICQ under
   /usr/local
7) cd plugins/qt-gui
8) make -f Makefile.cvs
9) ./configure
  or if you have KDE with headers installed:
  ./configure --with-kde
10) make && make install
  The latter one also has to be run by user root.

That should do it.

Cheers,

        Arne
