Is /usr/lib/qt/ compiled qt libraries? Or can it be just the source
without compiling (can't compile it due to errors as shown in my earlier
posts from last week)?  I remember the source (tar.gz) and extracting it
to that directory. That directory did not exist originally even after
downloading and installing compiled qt3 library from Fink
(http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/package.php/qt3; other packages weren't
available since they were not stable).

I can try your suggestion again with the extracted source (not compiled).
