Hmm, perhaps they are sending a malformed packet?  Can you show some packet 
dumps of that and the other problem you mentioned?

Well, it's only in CVS.  Doesnt' work so well.. you can see who is on your 
list and send/recv messages.  That's all at the moment, it's still being 
worked on.  The cvs module is called 'msn' and there is a readme.  You should 
also subscribe to the licq-devel and licq-cvs mailing lists if you use it...
