Simply, enable the phpBB emoticonset. It defines an emoticon for ":->" (look
in the emoticons.xml file: ":-&gt;", &gt; is used in many places). But while
typing in a message dialog, typing ":->" will not translate the text to a gfx
emoticon. Same for any &...;, I tried to define a substitution for ":-&amp;",
but when I type ":-&", I will see "(the emoticon)amp;"

Hmm interesting, if you could share his contact to me (w/ his agreement of
course). 'cause I also did a kopete theme adapted from his one :-).
