With the help of wwp (IRC-Nick) I collected some diffs for qt-gui to show the messages in the chat and history window more compact. This patch is on top of version licq-1.3.0-r1 gentoo-linux. If you use another distribution and/or version you may have to change the source by hand. In one diff get the <html><body> ... </body></html> dropped which is a workaround and it won't get upstream anyhow. It does not cause trouble here though! So, if you dislike ... "Timestamp [----] Nick: text blanco line" ... and prefer ... "Timestamp [----] Nick: text" ... you should use this workaround! ;) There is one glitch irreparable (I guess) though. If one using ICQlite (sure ICQ as well) in Windows there will be a blanco line still appended on his/her message. To sum up: Own messages - fine Licq users messages - fine Trillian 2.0 pro users messages - fine ICQlite (ICQ?) users messages - blanco line appended History shows as following now: "Timestamp [----] message from Nick text" The link to the patch: http://geki.ath.cx/licq-1.3.0-chat-history-cleanup.patch Have fun!
