Hi all Spim (Instant Messaging Spam) seams to become an increasing problem in the last months. Nowadays I get about one or two, advertizing messages over ICQ per day. More than non spim messages.
The official Win32 Mirabilis client has measures to filter certain content. Miranda has special chalenge response plugins to filter out bots: http://www.miranda-im.org/download/details.php?action=viewfile&id=1561 Now with LICQ (well I still use 1.2.7 so I don't know it that changed in 1.3) you can only drop messages from unknown uin, and thus preventing other people to contact you as most don't use the authorization protocol, or just use it with the default messages which I alway delete as most of them are spim again, or allow them and getting all spim. (Of course I have put email-pager and web-panel to ignore as they have become totaly unusable...) Any solution for the spim problem in future releases?
