If you are using gpg-agent and have pinentry installed, what happens when you
try to decrypt a file by double-clicking in an X-Window (KDE)?

In ~/.gnupg/gpg.conf you need to uncomment or add

use-agent

       for this to work.

in ~/.gnupg/gpg-agent.conf I have:

pinentry-program /usr/bin/pinentry-qt
no-grab
default-cache-ttl 1800

I think you can have any of the pinentry versions installed, it does not have
to be the QT version.
