New description:
Hello,
My friend sent me a message using UTF-8. But my encoding
was set to something else (chinese). When I changed the
encoding to UTF-8, the message was correctly displayed using
UTF-8, but the top pane which shows the message summary
was not updated, and still shows (bogus) chinese characters
instead of UTF-8.
