I would like a better understanding of what the lift installer does, particularly OS X (I'm on the latest 10.5.6). Intro info on lift tells me I only need to maven and everything else is handled by maven. I'm new to maven and coming back to JVM solutions after years away from the platform.
My goal is to not screw up my OS X system. By screw up, I mean, I hate not knowing where things are and how to remove or replace things. So what does this lift installer actually do? Is it better to stick with a standard maven install? Reading the apache maven instructions, I'm a bit confused as to how it replaces the OS X older maven or leaves the old one around for me to carefully sidestep through environment settings. any insight appreciated. thanks, Jon --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Lift" group.
