I can't seem to find anyway to get to those two values. I've been searching all over the request class/object and no luck.
I'm writing a RESTful web service that uses basic auth and for some reason jQuery likes to send things in the above mentioned format (http://user:passw...@foo.org). I've tried to fix that on the Javascript side but I couldn't get anything to work. So instead I decided on the service to recognize either the header style or the URL style of passing the login info. Sounded simple enough, until I couldn't find how to get at that/those strings.. Any help would be greatly appreciated..
