Heyho, i've been playing around with quite a lot of Textile
implementations over the years, especially since i wrote my own for
ruby which was replaced with RedCloth some time ago.
The strange behavior i've been seeing is with the following tags:

1, * and _. Look at the following:

scala> import net.liftweb.textile._
import net.liftweb.textile._

scala> TextileParser.toHtml("*foo* __bar__")
res7: scala.xml.NodeSeq =
<p><strong>foo</strong> __bar__</p>

scala> TextileParser.toHtml("__bar__")
res8: scala.xml.NodeSeq =
<p><i>bar</i></p>

scala> TextileParser.toHtml("__bar__ *foo*")
res9: scala.xml.NodeSeq =
<p><i>bar</i> *foo*</p>

Something clearly isn't working with __ and ** ;)

2, links with classes

scala> TextileParser.toHtml(""" "(cmsadmin-link)click here":# """)
res10: scala.xml.NodeSeq =
<p> <a href="javascript://">(cmsadmin-link)click here</a> </p>

And yes, usually you put the class inside the "", but i've also tried
it out at the outside of the link-text, behind the colon and after the
url, it doesn't seem to work ;)

Any ideas or suggestions? I'll take a deep look at that code anyway
since i need to tweak it a bit for my purpose.

These problem btw. also appear with Mylyn which i imported and used
its TextileParser, but i've done a bit for customers with textile in
ruby, python and php so i know these should work, especially #1 ;)

Best regards
