The laws of physics pervail.  The more light that gathers here, the more
lesser light will gather. . . Equal and opposite reaction.  However, when
objects are acted upon by an "outside" force  (the higher vibrational
light), who knows.  The dark never rushes in to fill a room of light when
the door is opened.  It does seem that light rushes in to dispell  the
darkness.

Just my humble observations.
