Shirley McClain said, "I am God,"...
...but every morning she looks in her mirror and confronts the evidence of
her fragile mortality. She realizes that she is getting older, ponders
another round of plastic surgery, goes through her bills, decides which to
pay and which to let slide for another month, and realizes that she will
ultimately die. I think that somewhere deep down inside she knows that she
is not God.
Gene Roddenberry said that, "I am a God." He has since died, and Gods just
simply do not die. Roddenberry expressed frustration because the world was
not as he wished it to be; but Gods can change whatever they want into
whatever they want it to be. As a God he could have made an entire new
universe exactly according to his specifications. But what he actually
accomplished was a fantasy universe that turned out to be a short course in
socialism called, "Star Trek".
Now many others say that they are Gods. Could it be that all of these People
have fallen for the oldest and greatest deception of all? It was, after all,
the promise of Satan to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden... that they
would not surely die... that they themselves could be "as Gods." And Satan
is billed as the, "Great Deceiver."
I find it strange that all these People never considered exactly what Satan
promised. They all missed it... went right over their heads. "As Gods," is
not the same as "Gods". The whole concept is a lie. Everyone dies... they
are not Gods... they are not even, "as Gods." Not one human ever has been,
can be, or ever will be a God. Augustus Caesar tried... ask him... oh... I'm
sorry... he's dead.
Even if you do not believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God, if you
do not believe in God, or if you take the now fashionable attitude that the
story of Satan and the Garden of Eden is a metaphor, which it could
certainly be, as an explanation of its purpose you must conclude that some
ancient man was warning us against ourselves. Why is it so difficult to
understand his warning?
If People continue to believe that they are Gods, or that they will become
Gods, they will eventually reach the conclusion that they can decide what is
good for the rest of us. And they may not choose to believe that we could
also be Gods. That's what makes them really dangerous.
You see... everything becomes subjective to to a man who believes himself to
be God. This man-God can decide that something is right for him but not
right for others. A man-God can change the rules at will and from moment to
moment. A man-God will eventually believe he has absolute, unconditional,
and subjective power. A God, you see, can do no wrong.
The religious believe that in the beginning there was nothing but God, that
God made everything including man, everything that exists was made from the
only material available, God, therefore everything that exists is a part of
God; but no part can ever be equal to, as great as, or greater than the
whole. No human is God. No human was, can be, or ever will be, God.
I find it strange that those who do not believe in God, those who ridicule
the religious... targeting Christians in particular, use the same argument
to prove that man is God. They deny God... then argue that everything sprang
from God ergo man himself is God... a terminally flawed argument if ever
there was one.
Socialism, and ultimately communism, cannot succeed unless God is destroyed.
There is no better way to destroy God than to convince man that he is God.
When man believes that he is God the whole of mankind is in danger. God is
not subject to any other power than his own absolute and unconditional
subjective power.
The creation of the man-God is to be the utopian socialist collective state.
These Gods have already admitted their agenda. It is no secret. The man-God
will give total power to his creation believing that he can check that power
through the democratic process. The man-God will soon discover that Marx,
Lenin, Stalin, and Mao understood human nature much better than he.
When all is said and done man will find himself a slave to the collective he
created. He will realize that he is mortal, that God is immortal, and that
Marx, Lenin, Stalin, and Mao are just other names of that same old snake.
Man will realize that the promise of socialism is the same old empty lie
that was given to Adam and Eve in the Garden. And despite Marx's, uh... I
mean Satan's assurances to the contrary, Adam and Eve died. - William Cooper
