What do you mean by epiphony?

(Deb) Not to hurt your feelings, Kristian, but it did sound like a sermon against those who have a different path than Christianity.

I don't think I said we could all agree on one truth.  Obviously that is
impossible.  I did say there is one truth.  This truth is not just mine -
that would be selfish.  I look to our creator and ask for his truth.  And to
deny we have a creator is rather foolish.

(Deb) Creator speaks to each of us differently. While I respect the Bible as a book of Wisdom, I also respect the Koran, the Bhagavad-Gita, The Gnostic Gospels, Urantia, The Keys of Enoch.  To explore all of these sacred writings gives me a broader perspective of life.  God did not intend for all of us to be alike  or to believe the same thing ... my truth is ... we have a higher self (Christ self) that we strive to meet and know.  In the end that is all that matters ... that we touch that spark of God within .... Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven is within .... Arch Angel Michael said that ALL is within ... so how can we doubt that that our source of Enlightenment comes from within????

I didn't think I was shouting.  Just as you present your beliefs I present
mine.  This forum is for discussing spirituality.  If you are secure with
your truth and it is just yours, why did you start this page.

(Deb) I think I know Lorri well enough to say that you are taking her remarks to personally.  She is not pointing a finger at you specifically.  This list has been around for years because there is a need for sharing and caring. Lorri took it over when the former leadership was not keeping it up well.  It is not obsolete ....even though we have quiet times.  The thing is it's there when we need it and I thank Lorri for all the work it requires to maintain it.  She does this as a service to others.  It is not a forum for her particular truth.  We learn much from each other  and relish the companionship .... many of us live in the middle of no-where with no people to talk to. This list has become such a part of our growth that if it were to go away there would be a big empty spot in our hearts.

> Kristian, no one on this list is going to persecute

I don't think I'll be persecuted here in web land, but I do find it hard to
talk about being a Christian.  It has always been hard to challenge belief
systems and I don't want to be confrontational.  I agree with most all of
what you say and with the enlightenment that is sweeping the world.  I do
not agree with the main premis which is that our source of enlightenment
comes from within.  Satan told Eve one thing and that was that she could be
like GOD.  I strongly believe that the New Age movement is the same
temptation.  I also do not believe the spirit world(or spirituality) is a
safe place.  There are many things out there that want our attention.  And
all they have to do is tell one little white lie and we miss the truth.  So
when it comes to spirit guides and channelers I have my doubts.  I would
test or "try the spirits" as the Bible would say.

(Deb)  It's funny how the Council at Nicea conveniently edited all the books of the Bible and published only those that they felt were "safe" ... no one would suspect their true nature from the selected books. In the Gospel of Thomas (the Secret Sayings of Jesus) Jesus clearly states, "Know ye not, that ye are GODS"?  We are gods but we are not individually THE GOD ... Prime Creator.

Jesus preached love and peace ... yet the God of the Bible is angry and a warmonger.  It does not fit. There is only one explanation ... the God, Jehovah, is not Prime Creator.  In fact the Gnostic Gospels say this is so.  Jehovah is a lower God, who has not finished his God evolvolution.  He makes mistakes.  He kills and gives commandments to the Israelites (who are NOT ISRAEL) who continually backslide into the old ways. The true Israel was not a physical land mass but a people ... the elect of God (Light workers if you will) who walk among us holding God's Light.

Yes, there are many "things" out there that want our attention ... and many so called Light worker's have fallen into the trap ... as have many Christians.  An enlightened person learns to use discernment (which for me is a connection to my higher self).  An enlightened person picks up on false prophets.
