Hello Friends and Family, An especially large and powerful typhoon is approaching Japan from the south and is expected to go straight over Kyushu (see http://www.ytnet.or.jp/us/pistew/mapofjapan.html ) and up over the rest of the Japanese archipelago. A few minutes ago the fire department drove by my house giving warnings about it. I have never seen this in the 10+ years I have been here. It appears that this could be potentially a very damaging storm. I think my house is pretty ok. It's new. I have to go around and check things to make sure all will be ok. They expect it to come through during the evening and tomorrow morning. Most of the US will be waking or awake during this time. I'd like ask you to send your prayers and energy and what ever you can send to Japan, to help protect the people here during this storm, to avert the typhoon into the Pacific Ocean, and/or to decrease its power.
