Dear Lorri,
Thanks for your support during the typhoon. We fared pretty well during
the storm, with a bit of damage to our house and a broken window in our
car. We were without power for most of the day. We were very
fortunate. In other parts of our city, homes had some very serious
damage and last night, two and a half days after the storm, they still
did not have power. A lot of big beautiful trees were destroyed. The
clean-up will go on for some time. But all in all, we in Japan are
fortunate. The typhoon went over the northern part of Kyushu but stayed
over water for most or its way north, avoiding the main island where
Tokyo is. But it went straight over Hokkaido. I have not heard about
how it was there, yet, but I'm sure it was not pretty.
Thanks again for your support.
Namaste.
