http://www.likewise.com/resources/product_documentation/Likewise-Open-5-Guid e.pdf You may want to verify that the following commands are giving you the results you expect... /opt/likewise/bin/lw-get-status This will tell you if our agent is running and if the domain controller(s) are considered online. /opt/likewise/bin/lw-enum-users This will show a list of the AD accounts that our authentication subsystem is aware of, this could be your entire domain with the way that Likewise Open works. To find a specific user and view details about there identity, /opt/likewise/bin/lw-find-user-by-name <account name, default is NT4 style syntax CORP\\jdoe> If you enable the /etc/likewise/lsassd.conf configuration option to prepend the domain name, you can use the sam account name for your AD users instead. (lw-find-user-by-name jdoe). If you find the users okay, but logons are still not working for you, you may want to turn up the logging of the lsassd daemon (authentication subsystem) with /opt/likewise/bin/lw-set-log-level verbose or- debug and then tail the /var/log/system.log (on your Mac to see logon activity). If you continue to have errors and need further assistance, these logs will help us to help you. One other point, are your logons for other users from ssh? If so, it is possible that the System Preferences Sharing applet may be restricting access to one specific user account...
