Well, since there's no discussion, and there's only two days left on our
old topic, I'll offer the fruit of last night's degeneracy. After all,
"getting drunk, picking up bar ladies and writing a metaphysics is a
part of life" and ruthless avoidance of degeneracy is a form of
degeneracy in itself.
Can Quality be defined?
Certainly we CAN define it, but that doesn't mean that the definition
will be correct, or valuable. Rather, novels, narratives, philosophies,
definitions, descriptions, points of view, romantic expressions, classic
formulations, Dynamic indications, static co-ordination, etc... MUST be
used to give some indication of what it is... People must be given an
idea of what the hell we're talking about.
So.....
Quality is that which is Real.
It's existence is the essence of what we name "Goodness", "Truth", and
"Beauty".
It is realized (discovered - experienced) Dynamically by humanity
through Religion, Science and Art.
It is consciously understood as static patterns of Value from our living
"physical" and "mental" experience of Quality Events.
It follows, I think, that a Metaphysics of Quality may be valuable
studied and practised as a religion, a science and an art.
Hmmmm... there's something stinky about this, but I can't put my finger
on it. Better get a cold one and think about. Anyone? Should I be
shunned from the group?

-no - I think this is a valid activity so long as we are POSITIVELY sure
and aware that words - any intellectual formulation - will never be
Quality itself, or sufficiently adequate.
But it may be valuable as the ferry by which we may come to understand
the MOQ Dynamically.
