The example at the head of this issue fails in the same way with version
2.15.41, so I think the status goes back to Accepted.
This time, however, flags are not required to show the problem
<< { \aikenHeads f'4 } \\ { \aikenHeads f'4 } >>
and there is no problem with beams (issue 2441).
David traced the problem to the patch for issue 2587
