The example from comment #4 is called the "Farewell Symphony" in English.
Different publishers align the mis-matched bar-lines differently. LilyPond
does not need to handle every unusual situation with the build-in
mechanisms, but it would be nice to know a way to get the attached output
with LilyPond, preferably by cooperating with the existing mechanisms.
