The question is *which* text items benefit from skylines.
Comment 6 wants tight outlines around DynamicText.
In the linked regression test results, there are some cases where we really
want a rectangular box around markup, such as the open/damped string
indications in 'input/regression/fret-diagrams-capo.ly'
Comment 3 suggests that some padding is sufficient (see image for some of
the options we have with overrides) and this would also do for issue 3202.
The similar \override DynamicTextSpanner #'skyline-horizontal-padding = #0.5
would also address some aspects of 2795.
Comment 4 argues that this is invalid
